What if...

… pursuing God was more important than religious routine?

… ”church” was more than a place to show up on Sunday?

… the key to discovering YOU was found in discovering GOD?

… it's just real people living real lives?

Who is Vivid Church?

Vivid Church is a God-passionate community dedicated to encouraging people in the pursuit of Him.  We are committed to building relationships with God and with others.

We aren't perfect, but the good news is we don't expect you to be either.  Wherever you are in your journey of life, we want you to know that our doors are always open.  And we're always good for a laugh and a hot cup of coffee.

7 Elements of Identity

The culture of Vivid Church is built on the following seven values.  Taken together, these give us our identity and shape who we are and what we do.

  1. Excellence - This is more than a popular buzzword.  It is not unrealistic perfectionism, but it is our commitment to bring our "A" game to every area of our lives in order to bring honor to God.
  2. Small is Big - Size does not have inherent value.  What has value is impact.  Size is not a prerequisite for greatness and it can often hinder it.  Many times a macro-focus will hide micro-issues.
  3. Simplicity - The Word of God and the Body of Christ should be easily accessible and not require a lot of jumping through hoops.  We do not believe that a person should have to become steeped in "churchianity" to understand who we are, what we do, and why.
  4. Passion - Being a part of Vivid Church means living with purpose and passion.  We desire to be a community where there is no room for "going through the motions" or where people serve through a sense of obligation.  Everything we do should be focused by objective and driven by intention.
  5. Do Life Together - It is vital in the life of every follower of Jesus that they know whom they are connected to and they understand the strength of those connections.  It is not possible to live the God kind of life outside of relationships because this is how disciples are made.  Discipleship is a relational practice and it is the responsibility of every believer.
  6. Reproduce - We seek to do things in a way that can be reproduced in other's lives and communities.  Part of this involves intentionally making way for a variety of gifts and giftings to be expressed.
  7. Create and Inform Culture - Who we are should impact our environment transforming the culture around us.  Rather than engage in fruitless "culture wars", we seek to "criticize by creating" a better and more dynamic culture.  Additionally, rather than retreating from the world, we believe we should engage culture and seek to ascend to the highest places of influence in business, art, education, medicine, government, etc.
